Unified National Network (UNN)
invited the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) to
showcase the Department’s initiatives and efforts towards environmental
awareness, management and protection, as part of UNN Safety Day on 30th June 2021.
In that one day event, JASTRe had the
chance to showcase the roles and services provided by the Department as well as
the local artists and poets’ creations that were made of recycled materials for
World Environment Day. Interactive quizzes were conducted for UNN employees to
participate and test their knowledge on the environment. UNN also has shared
their contribution to the environment such as bringing their own water bottles
and going paperless for internal memos. This exhibition is a great platform to
raise awareness on the importance of the environment and how their daily
activities can reduce the negative impacts towards the environment.
