Through Science Technology
Environment Partnership (STEP) Centre’s to promote their Science, Technology,
Engineering, Design & Technology, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) Education,
JASTRe has provided an environmental talk to year 4, year 5 and year 6 students
of Sekolah Tunas Jaya PGGMB Kuala Belait on 27th February 2021. Package O - Get
to know your Environment presentation by JASTRe focused on the process,
importance, ecological balance, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (3Rs) and eco-friendly
habits and in between the talk, students were given a chance to interact with
the speaker through interactive quizzes.
At the end of the talk, an activity
called ‘Guide Me to the Right Bin’ was initiated. This activity was organized
in order to test the students’ knowledge on the 3Rs. The talk and activities
were received very well from the students and teachers. Also these students
have shown that they themselves are very well educated with the 3RS despite
being at a young age.
