Tree-Planting during 'Sesi Muzakarah Kementerian Pembangunan bersama Ahli-Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Negara'
On the 10th February 2021,
a ‘Muzakarah Session’ was held between Ministry of Development and members of
the Legislative council, led by Yang Berhormat Ar. Dayang Siti Rozaimeriyanty
binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman.
The morning started off with a
tree-planting activity facilitated by the Department of Environment, Parks and
Recreation (JASTRe). A total of 22 trees were prepared by JASTRe and were
planted at the base of Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Bridge, Kg Sungai Besar.
Each member was also provided a tree to be planted at their house premise.
One of the objectives of the
tree-planting activity was to support and contribute towards the government’s
efforts and initiative to plant 500,000 new trees by 2035.
